I saw this adorable picture of a cat yesterday that got me thinking Callie needs a pet. I really can’t decide what to give her, though. The possibilities seem rather endless.
I got three ideas that hit me right off the bat: I could give her an ordinary house cat, I could give her a faerie cat since she does live in a fantasy world where that could be possible (if I did this I would specify, however, they are rare because there are not a lot of winged cats or any other pets, for that matter, in Ladriél), or simply a werecat (I do have were creatures like wereleopards and even a werewolf in the story so that wouldn’t seem too far fetched).
I’m leaning towards werecat myself, but I would love to see which of these you guys would prefer as a reader.
So I thought I’d ask you guys what you would prefer to see? A werecat, a winged cat, or just an ordinary cat?
I was considering that I don’t really focus much on food in the Amethyst Epiphany series as of the moment. I have heard from other authors and writers that they talk about food a lot in their tales. I do mention meals and feasts, but very rarely do I go into the details of what they’re having.
Recently, I found a picture of rainbow grapes. They’re not rare, but they certainly are beautiful. I thought it would be a very fitting fruit to include with a future meal scene with the fae.
What kind of foods do you think suitable for the fae? Mine are a little different than your typical garden variety. They’re like us so I do think some eat meat and some choose not to and get their protein in other ways like nuts, milk, eggs, and cheeses.
